Travel Program

The website provides a general description of each group trip. The actual program is always subject to weather conditions and will be adjusted as much as possible to the preferences and capabilities of the group.

STO Garant Protection Scheme

To comply with the legally required guarantee, Byzondere Reizen uses STO Garant. You can verify this via the STO Garant participant page (www.stogarant.nl/deelnemers). All information about STO Garant can be found at www.sto-garant.nl. Each travel offer by Byzondere Reizen will clearly state whether STO Garant coverage applies. The guarantee scheme explains what the guarantee entails and what conditions apply. This can be found on the STO Garant website (www.sto-garant.nl/downloads).
If the STO Garant scheme applies to your booking, your payment is made not to Byzondere Reizen, but to the escrow account of Stichting Derdengelden Certo Escrow, a payment service provider registered with the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). Your payment will be secured until the end of your trip. If, due to financial insolvency of Byzondere Reizen, the services are not (fully or timely) provided, STO Garant will execute the guarantee. You will find the procedure for claims on the STO Garant website.

Price Adjustments

The agreed travel price is based on the prices, exchange rates, fuel prices, levies, and taxes as known at the time the offer was made. Byzondere Reizen reserves the right to increase the travel price up to 20 days before the day of departure due to unforeseen and significant increases in transportation costs (including the prices of airline tickets).

In particular, we are entitled to apply a price correction if the flight rates charged by airlines or other suppliers change suddenly and substantially as a direct result of global unrest (including, but not limited to, geopolitical tensions, wars, pandemics, or natural disasters).

Byzondere Reizen shall inform the traveler of any price increase as soon as possible, but no later than 20 days before the start of the trip, in a clear and comprehensible manner, providing the reason for the increase and its calculation. If the price increase exceeds 8% of the total travel price, the traveler has the right to reject the increase and terminate the travel agreement free of charge. In such an event, any payments already made towards the travel price will be fully refunded.

Payment Terms

An initial deposit of €100 per person is required if you book more than six months before departure. Half the total travel sum is due six months before the trip, and the remaining amount must be paid no later than four weeks before departure. All payment requests will be sent to you via STO Garant.

Cancellation Policy

If the participant cancels between six months and one month before departure, 50% of the total trip fee is due. If cancellation occurs one month or less before departure, the full amount is due. For cancellations more than six months before departure, a €100 fee applies.

Byzondere Reizen may cancel a trip no later than 20 days prior to departure and refund the full travel sum without any liability for damages if:

• the number of participants is below the minimum stated in the travel description;

• there is a case of force majeure, defined as unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.

Liability

Participants are liable for any damage they or their travel companions cause to the property of Byzondere Reizen or third parties.
Byzondere Reizen accepts no liability for any damages suffered by participants or co-travelers during or in connection with this agreement, except in cases of intent or gros negligence. Nor is Byzondere Reizen liable for any resulting consequences of such damage.

Waiver and Release of Liability

Participants understand and accept that outdoor and adventure activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, property damage, and unforeseen weather or environmental conditions. By participating in a tour with Byzondere Reizen, you voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to release and hold harmless Byzondere Reizen, its employees, affiliates, contractors, and agents from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with your participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Insurance

The travel fee does not include travel or cancellation insurance. Participants are strongly advised to take out adequate travel and cancellation insurance in advance.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with immediate effect, without judicial intervention, if the other party fails to fulfill its obligations under this agreement, without prejudice to the right to full compensation for damages.

Dietary Requirements

Our kitchen is not fully equipped to provide gluten-free, lactose-free, or vegan meals. Other dietary requirements may be accommodated if communicated by phone or mail in advance. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee alternatives. If you have questions or doubts, please feel free to contact us.

Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Norwegian law. All disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be exclusively resolved by the competent court in Norway.
Participants  agree that Norwegian law applies regardless of their country of residence or nationality.
